My army unit's standby for mobilisation was officially over yesterday after a 7 day period of putting myself on hold for any personal plans in case the country needs me to stand around gates, look busy and count some heads.
True to what some had mentioned in the comments section of my entry here, it could be true that a major factor for us not being called-up was possibly due to the Labour Day holiday and the coming General Elections.
But that does not mean the whole of Singapore is not on standby throughout this election season.
